Sentinel-1

ZOOMOrmuz

High resolution, C-band, Single or dual polarization, Interferometric acquisition

Sentinel-1 is the first satellite developed in the series of five observation satellites of the Copernicus program developed by the European Space Agency. The Sentinel-1 mission consists of two polar-orbiting satellites, operating day and night. These two satellites acquire C-band radar data. Thanks to high data accuracy, precise knowledge of altitude and orbitography, and short revisit times, this mission provides interferometric acquisition capability.

The main missions of this constellation are the observation of the oceans (icebergs, ice sea, marine currents, waves...) and the monitoring of natural disasters (land movements, earthquakes, floods).
